Extension, Full re-furbishment, garden studio and extensive Landscaping works.
An old 3 up 3 down house on a large plot looking down over the countryside, built in mid 60s.
Aim – Sympathetic modernisation, extension, new front porch, large rear garden
studio. Permaculture landscaping front and back.
We are currently in the process of making the property and extension watertight.
We have finished the exterior in vertical cladding-grade A Siberian Larch over an ICF wall system,filled with Earth friendly concrete, (no cement on the project) and introduced the Sunstyle PV tile roof system with stunning effects and with that
running alongside NIBE F2040-12KW/SMO 20/VST 05 air source heat pump, the house will have 0 energy imput required.
All excess electricity created is being stored in a Tesla home battery pack for night time use. The rest being sold back to the grid.
Although not built to any Passiv haus standard, with the use of the Tetris block and beam floor (isolating system) and high spec windows and doors and as many gap sealing, draught excluding techniques of build from my team, this house will almost if not, achieve the Passivhaus standard, which the industry aim to achieve. 80% carbon reductions that are set as a legislative target for the UK Government.
